Photoshop Actions

In Photoshop, actions can be extremely helpful when editing large numbers of images. Actions are preset and allow a change to be made to an image in one click, cutting out the process entirely.Screen Shot 2016-03-04 at 11.15.55The actions tab holds default actions created by Photoshop. The button next to the trash bin creates an action, which brings up a renaming window.
A recording symbol then appears red, indicating any editing choices you make will be recorded until you choose to stop it.Screen Shot 2016-03-04 at 11.16.26To batch edit, you need to go to File > Automate > Batch which will open another window. This will allow you to choose a folder of images that Photoshop will then edit using the action you have selected.Screen Shot 2016-03-04 at 11.17.01
